Description:

The bismark bs-16i is a 16 multi-timbral playback sampler that is highly regarded in the professional/commercial equipment industry. It offers the capability to load SoundFont and DLS files as WaveTable, making it a versatile tool for keyboard instruments, MIDI sound modules, and MIDI file players.

One of the standout features of the bs-16i is its powerful synthesizer engine, which is widely used in professional equipment. By utilizing SoundFont / DLS libraries, users have access to a wide range of high-quality instruments. Additionally, the Hi-Res Engine option, available as an In-App purchase, allows for superior audio quality with low noise through 100% floating-point calculations.

The bs-16i fully supports all standard MIDI messages, effectively turning your iPhone or iPad into a GM (General MIDI) sound module by utilizing the pre-installed GeneralUser GS SoftSynth v1.44.sf2 by S. Christian Collins.

As a keyboard instrument, the bs-16i provides a scalable screen keyboard, pitch bend wheel, and various control change controllers to enhance your playing experience.

The internal MIDI file player supports the SMF (Standard MIDI File) format, enabling seamless integration with your compositions.

Managing WaveTable/Song/Scene files is made easy through the "bs-16i" folder in your iCloud Drive, ensuring synchronization across all your iOS/iPadOS devices.

In addition to its extensive capabilities, this application supports Core MIDI interfaces such as IK Multimedia iRig KEYS/iRig MIDI, YAMAHA iMX-1, LINE6 MIDI Mobilizer 2, Apple Lightning-USB Camera Adapter with USB Generic MIDI Interface, and Bluetooth accessories (such as Miselu C.24 and QUICCO SOUND mi.1). These interfaces allow for seamless communication with external MIDI hardware such as synthesizers and sequencers. The bs-16i can also function as a background driver, allowing for integration with other apps using Virtual MIDI.

Support for Audiobus 3 and Inter-App Audio provides the flexibility to route the bs-16i's output stream to other compatible apps.

The inclusion of AUv3 (AudioUnit v3) extension enables the use of bs-16i as a plug-in instrument in popular apps like GarageBand, BeatMaker3, and AUM, further expanding its functionality.

Please note that in order to load a specified SoundFont/DLS file, the device must have sufficient free memory available.

This application collects the following information: device name, OS version, SoundFont/DLS file name, and CoreMIDi I/F name.
