In addition to its extensive capabilities, this application supports Core MIDI interfaces such as IK Multimedia iRig KEYS/iRig MIDI, YAMAHA iMX-1, LINE6 MIDI Mobilizer 2, Apple Lightning-USB Camera Adapter with USB Generic MIDI Interface, and Bluetooth accessories (such as Miselu C.24 and QUICCO SOUND mi.1). These interfaces allow for seamless communication with external MIDI hardware such as synthesizers and sequencers. The bs-16i can also function as a background driver, allowing for integration with other apps using Virtual MIDI.

Support for Audiobus 3 and Inter-App Audio provides the flexibility to route the bs-16i's output stream to other compatible apps.

The inclusion of AUv3 (AudioUnit v3) extension enables the use of bs-16i as a plug-in instrument in popular apps like GarageBand, BeatMaker3, and AUM, further expanding its functionality.
